A fridge in the kitchen, a chest freezer in the garage or an appliance already outside: tell us where yours is so we can plan its route out.
Include any stairs, narrow doorways or tight turns between the appliance and where the van can park. You don’t need to move it to the kerb for an indoor collection.

Please have your fridge or freezer empty, fully defrosted and disconnected from the power supply at least 24 hours before collection.

Remove food and drinks from every compartment, including the freezer drawers.

Defrost and disconnect
Allow time for the ice to melt and clear away the water. If you need help with disconnection, tell us first.

Clear the way
Move loose items out of the collection route. You do not need to move the appliance outside for an indoor collection.
Built in or connected to water? Tell us first so we can check what help is needed. Please do not assume disconnection or removing kitchen fittings is included.
On collection day
Our team collects the appliances listed in your request. Have them ready as described above and keep the route clear of loose belongings.

Tell us when it is due so we can check collection availability. Your preferred date is a request until we confirm it with you.

What happens to
your old fridge?
A fridge isn’t ordinary scrap metal. Its refrigerants and insulating materials need specialist treatment.
We take your appliance to an appropriate receiving facility for that treatment.

Your appliance
Do you collect freezers as well as fridges?
Yes. Choose your appliance from the collection list above, including fridge freezers, chest freezers and under-counter appliances. If you cannot find a match, contact us before selecting a different item.
Can you collect an American-style fridge freezer?
American-style fridge freezers are included in the item list. Tell us about steps, doorways and any doors or fittings that may need removing. Collections needing extra assessment go to our team for review.
What about a built-in or water-connected fridge?
Tell us before collection if your appliance is built into kitchen units or connected to a water supply. Do not assume disconnection or removal from cabinetry is included. We need to check what help is required first.
Getting ready
Do I need to defrost it first?
Yes. Please empty all food, fully defrost the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply at least 24 hours before collection. Clear away the defrost water so the appliance is ready to move.
Do I have to move it outside?
No. We can collect from inside your property and do the lifting. Tell us where the appliance is and about any stairs or tight access when requesting your price. If it is already outside, tell us that instead.
What if I need help getting it ready?
Choose the option saying help is needed, or that you are not sure, in the quote questions. Our team will review the details before confirming the collection. Please do not attempt to move or disconnect anything you cannot handle safely.

Can I choose a collection date?

Fridges and freezers contain refrigerants and insulating materials that need specialist treatment. We arrange an appropriate receiving facility for the appliance rather than treating it as ordinary household rubbish.
