At WeMovers, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our services or visit our website.
When you request a quote or book our services, we collect:
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
If you ask our optional service finder for a suggestion, we send your clearance description and any clarification answer to OpenAI to help identify a suitable service. Suggestions do not confirm a price, booking or acceptance of your items. You can use our service pages and quote forms without using the finder.
A functional cookie lasting one hour helps protect the suggestion service from misuse. Your description and suggestion are also kept in this browser tab so you can carry them into a quote. Finder handoff details are usable for 30 minutes; older details may remain available to copy in the same tab. Closing the tab normally ends that browser storage session, although browser session-restoration features may retain it.
On our servers, saved suggestion results expire after 10 minutes and usage-limit records expire after one to two days. Automatic physical deletion may happen later. We request that OpenAI does not store the response as a saved API response; this is not a promise of zero provider retention, and separate security and abuse-monitoring retention may apply.
With analytics permission, we record finder interactions and whether this browser received a valid accepted-request response. These events exclude your description, clarification answers, contact details and addresses. They do not establish that a booking was made or that the finder caused an enquiry. Declining analytics does not prevent you using the finder. With analytics permission, we also keep a private review record of your question, the suggested service and later quote steps for up to 30 days. We mask recognisable personal details and may withhold text that cannot be safely displayed; this does not guarantee anonymity. The review is restricted to the business owner, is not sent to Google Analytics, and stops accepting further activity when you withdraw analytics permission. Records are hidden after 30 days and scheduled for automatic deletion; physical deletion may happen later.
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
All third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, secure servers, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided at the end of this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies, including browser storage and tracking tags, can store information on your device or measure how you use a website. We keep optional analytics, advertising and session replay off until you allow them. You can reject all optional purposes or choose them separately. Requesting a quote and using our services do not depend on accepting optional tracking.
We remember your choices in this browser for up to 180 days. You can change or withdraw optional consent at any time using here or in the website footer. We may ask again when your saved choice expires or our tracking purposes change. Your browser may remove stored choices sooner.
When permitted, these tools share relevant usage and advertising data with their providers. Their handling and retention of that data are explained in the Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking; it does not automatically delete information already collected. You can also use your browser controls to remove cookies and stored website data.

Our services are not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
